Address, telephone number and email address parents
For the safety of the children, it is of great importance that the school has all the correct information to contact the parents. Please inform us immediately of any changes in your address, (mobile) phone number or e-mail address.
Contact with the teacher
Good contact with parents is very important at our school. You are welcome at the school every day and after 14:30 you may briefly speak with the teacher. You will be invited regularly to talk together about your child. This happens four weeks after your child started on the Bazaar and then every 10 weeks. The teacher will also visit you at home when you have lived at the AZC-terrain for a longer period.
Help at school
Sometimes there is need for extra help at school, for example, for school parties, creative afternoons, sports, walking to the gym and school outings. Parents who are interested in this, can apply to the management.
Sometimes it may be advisable to have interpreters present during talks between parents and teachers. If possible, try to find someone yourself who may translate for you. Please do not ask the children to translate.
The children are registered upon arrival in the AZC. The child and at least one parent or guardian must be present at the intake. When parents can’t speak any Dutch, English or French, an interpreter will be provided. The Executive Board will interview you.
If a student has already attended a Dutch school, it is important to bring the education number and transfer information from the previous school: the educational report (het onderwijskundig rapport (OKR)). This information helps us to continue teaching the child at the right level at the Bazaar.
In most cases your child will be placed in a group with peers, but the board may decide otherwise if it is in the best interest of your child.
After registration you will receive a school card (credit card size). It contains all the school data of the Bazaar and this card is important if your child moves to another school in the Netherlands. You must give this card to the director of the new school. so that he can contact the Bazaar for information about your child's learning.
